I visited the OC Fair for the first time since 2009, mostly to see my friend Keith Gilbert perform (as his solo project, The Parlors). On my YouTube channel, you can see the video I took of one of his songs, "Let You Go".
After Keith's set was over, I visited the Heroes Hall Museum, which was new to me, having opened in 2017. I really enjoyed learning about the Santa Ana Army Air Base for the first time. I was surprised I wasn't previously familiar with it, since learning about the the other local bases and former bases has been one of my interests. My favorite exhibit was the big wall-sized map of the base, where I learned what a big chunk of Costa Mesa the SAAAB used to occupy, including the sites of two of the apartment complexes I've lived at.
