Other than at nature preserves, I'd never seen a sign like this before. It was weird to find it in the parking lot of a supermarket-anchored shopping center. Even more oddly, I believe these signs are only along one of the three different street-bordered edges of the center. I suppose there was probably some eccentric individual that lived in one of the houses across the way (you can see one in the bottom-left of the photo) who persisted in feeding birds after being asked to stop. I guess the signs worked, though, as the only wildlife I've ever noticed in this center was a big spider on my car which I relocated to a tree before (making like a tree and) leaving.
