| This perfectly good stroller was just abandoned in an OfficeMax parking lot, with no cars nearby. Creepy.

| You can see the top plastic seal of a pre-made salad in the bottom compartment of the stroller. Kind of an odd juxtaposition that the stroller-abandoner is apparently a healthy eater. (Jeez, hope the Mom and baby weren't kidnapped!! Unfortunately as far as I could see, there was nothing on the stroller that could be used to identify somebody, aside from any fingerprints that might exist in a criminal database. Per my understanding, the California DMV fingerprint database can't be searched through by the police for matches of people whose names aren't known to them.)

| Seems like either the adult that used to push this stroller used a spill a lot of coffee in the cupholders (the nearby 7-11 sugar packet could support that, though I actually moved it about 10 feet closer to the stroller to include it in the photo), or it's been out here for a long time, which would be creepy in itself.

| Same parking lot. Just struck me as odd that someone could lose a lens from their glasses and not notice. Perhaps these were from reading rather than distance glasses, but still kind of surprising given how much noise even plastic lenses make when hitting the ground.

This one wasn't weird per se, just unusual. Unfortunately it was
impossible to take a decent photo because I didn't get my iPod Touch out of my
pocket and unlocked until the light I was waiting for was green, so I had to
take the photo while turning left with drivers behind me. What's pictured is a
bus-stop billboard from Southern California
Edison saying to never release metallic balloons, something that I'd never
seen a PSA for in the past. I was going to replace this blurtastic photo with
an image of the poster from SCE's website, but I was unable to find one. In any
case, the caption says something close to the one in the thumbnail still from
SCE's 2017 Safety Campaign
- Mylar Balloons YouTube video, and uses the same imagery:
BTW, there was an amazing video I saw several years ago where a huge bunch of
mylar balloons was released (at like a backyard wedding or something?), and they
flew right into power lines, causing an incredible, giant, ultra-white explosion
("power flash", to use the storm chaser terminology) as wide and tall as the
spread-out bunch. Unfortunately though there are lots of good mylar balloons
vs. powerlines videos on YouTube, I can't seem to find that one with the massive
bunch. It's feasible that I saw it on "America's Funniest Home Videos" rather
than on YouTube. Anyhow, if anyone knows where to find that video or a similar
one, please email me via the link in this page's footer so I can feature it

| A fourth, female duck suddenly flew at low altitude from the direction of one of the houses across the street (as if she'd been chilling out on the roof or something) and joined the other three. Shortly thereafter, she and the male duck that'd been sitting out in the street briefly, uh, ducked under the red pickup on their way to join the other couple up on the dirt. You can see the pair's glowing eyes under the bumper. After they finished their odd little trek under the truck, all four ducks flew away, in the same direction from which the fourth duck had come (in the direction of the nearby lake).

| Other than at nature preserves, I'd never seen a sign like this before. It was weird to find it in the parking lot of a supermarket-anchored shopping center. Even more oddly, I believe these signs are only along one of the three different street-bordered edges of the center. I suppose there was probably some eccentric individual that lived in one of the houses across the way (you can see one in the bottom-left of the photo) who persisted in feeding birds after being asked to stop. I guess the signs worked, though, as the only wildlife I've ever noticed in this center was a big spider on my car which I relocated to a tree before (making like a tree and) leaving.
