Recently, while on a greyhound bus from San Francisco to Orange County, I noticed that there are now digital video cameras on high poles that overlook many stretches of freeway in California. Now that I am aware, I see them all throughout this region, Orange County, L.A. etc. Was that announced to the taxpaying public or simply instituted? Will we begin to receive speeding tickets in the mail? Recently, I did notice that it had been announced in newspapers that there would be cameras placed strategically all over Washington D.C. in light of the 'terrorist threat.' Security measures. And in last week's Orange County Register, there was an article announcing that L.A. supervisors had approved a movement to place cameras on all public beaches. This is of course for our own safety, so that lifeguards can keep watch and make quicker rescues. That sounds nice, but what is happening to our privacy and to our general psychology and freedom? Big Brother is watching! That is no joke. We are entering an age where conspiracy is no longer a theory.
Before September 11, before there was the "it's for security's sake" argument, U.S. government [Inc.] was already spending more and more on surveillance technologies in recent years. According to a report released by the Congress' General Accounting Office, over 50 billion was spent prior to July 31, 2001, researching biometric identification, including facial identification software and more.
"There's a lot of money involved in these technologies," said Army spokesperson Richard Diamond. "One thing that seems certain is there should be more public debate about whether this is the right approach before these technologies are ever used in public. And that's something we haven't had." They also warned that these technologies could be misused.
Indeed! Do we have a choice, a democratic voice, or will these technologies be implemented with no debate, due to terrorist threat? Also of interest is the new nanotechnology microchip implant that can store various information. Having been aware of this for a couple of years, I recently noticed an anouncement in the Orange County Register 2/27/02;
"Human ID chip contemplated" ... "For airports, nuclear power plants and other high-security facilities, the immediate benefits could be a closer-to-fool-proof security system. But privacy advocates warn that the chip could lead to encroachment on civil liberties." ..."Other uses of the technology on the horizon, from an added device that would allow satellite tracking of an individual's every movement to the storage of sensitive data like medical records, are already attracting interest across the globe for tasks like foiling kidnappings or assisting paramedics."
How easy will it be to fool the general public with media-hype fear tactics before they start putting the chip into their new-borns that have no choice? They already tried to start this in Florida. "Anything for security," ... I think that's what we're supposed to say.
Finally I must add this quote from the movie 1984 as it is either a prophecy, or rather, this has been the case all along. To rally the nation behind a president and his agenda [and the greater interest of a global agenda, secret societies, world government, world bank etc.] start an ongoing war that is controlled, directed by these superpowers -the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Affairs, the Bildebergs etc. From the beginning of the 'war on terrorism,' Bush has warned that it will be a long war. It was even first nicknamed 'The Eternal War.'
From the movie '1984'; "It does not matter if the war is not real, or when it is, victory is not possible. It is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. The essential act of one warfare is the destruction of human labor. A hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. In principal, the war effort is always designed to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects. And its object is not victory over Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society in tact."
