When I was a senior in high school, in my English class I received, for the first time, assignments to write poetry. In addition, my teacher allowed us to get extra credit if we turned in non-assigned writings, including poems. Here are three poems I wrote some time during the 1989-1990 school year that I liked enough to save.
A warning -- they're all pretty dark.
